Donations are accepted with the understanding that they are provided in support of community-backed, evidence-based policies free of vested interests. We welcome donations from anyone with an interest in something better for the ACT but are unable to accept donations from property developers, close associates of property developers, foreign entities or individuals making donations on behalf of foreign entities. For donations cumulatively valued at $1,000 or above in a single financial year, Independents for Canberra is obligated to disclose your donation publicly via Elections ACT. Any surplus funds after the election will be used to support successful candidates in achieving their aims. Donations to political parties up to a cumulative total of $1,500 within a financial year are tax deductible for individuals but not for businesses or other entities.
