PAULA MCGRADY - LEAD CANDIDATE
Paula McGrady is a Goomeri/Bigumbul woman who has called Canberra home for over 20 years and is the outgoing Deputy Chair of the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body. Her roots in the community run deep, with a life of service in the community sector including in family and domestic violence, sexual abuse, youth justice and homelessness.
ANNE-LOUISE DAWES - LEAD CANDIDATE
Anne-Louise Dawes is a descendant of the Dawes and Franklin families that moved to the Brindabella region before Canberra was formed. Generations of the Dawes family have remained in the ACT sharing a deep gratitude for life in the bush city. As a career bureaucrat, Anne-Louise developed a strong interest in social justice, equality and inclusion.
NATHAN NAICKER
Nathan is a dedicated Canberra resident who is deeply passionate about our city's future. With a distinguished career in the Federal Public Service in areas including economics, transport and health, Nathan will bring his experience and passion to advocating for policies that prioritise the wellbeing and prosperity of all Canberra residents.
KATHLEEN BOLT
Kathleen is a Bundjalung Woman from Lismore area, far north NSW who currently lives in Canberra. Kathleen works closely with First Nation Businesses across the ACT and NSW and engages with community members to assess the effectiveness of government services within the community and identify areas for improvement for their own business and fostering connections and partnerships. Kathleen has extensive knowledge, experience and skills in Leadership, Social and Emotional wellbeing, Governance, employment, education and community engagement.
ROBERT KNIGHT
Robert Knight was born and grew up in Canberra before joining the Army straight after finishing year 12. After serving for 22 years he settled back in Canberra with his wife and two children, becoming a member of the Garran community in 2016. His main areas of interest are in urban development, and active and public transport, particularly in how each of these disciplines can positively effect the quality of people’s lives.
