This is an opportunity to meet our final prospective candidate for the electorate of Ginninderra, Sue Read.
Sue is a proud Canberran who is passionate about creating healthy communities. She grew up in Canberra and went on to study Psychology and Neuroscience at the ANU and completed her qualifications to become a registered Psychologist. She served as a goalkeeper for the Australian national women’s soccer team, the Matildas, appears on ABC Radio Canberra as our city’s very own resident psychologist, runs her own health and psychology practice, Life Unlimited Psychology, and most recently launched the (successful!) Save Canberra United campaign.
Sue has passed through basic vetting and an interview with our committee. The final stage in the candidate endorsement process involves introducing herself to the community and answering questions from the audience.
If you want to have a say in Sue's prospective endorsement in Ginninderra, please come along to this event!
She will be given 7 minutes to deliver a speech and 13 minutes for audience Q&A.
Community members are encouraged to provide their input, which Independents for Canberra will take into account for its endorsement decisions.
Endorsements will be made on the basis of potential candidates' commitment to our 10 shared principles, which can found be found here.
Sue will present at 2.30pm. Attendees are welcome to arrive from 1.45pm onward for a casual meet and greet with members of the team, to ask any questions about the movement and to learn how to get involved in the campaign.
Please be sure to RSVP.
