First Town Hall

Anyone with an interest in learning more about how community independents can succeed at the 2024 ACT election is warmly invited to attend our first public meeting at The RUC Turner Bowls Club on Sunday 11th February, 10am.

The event will also be streamed live here.

Senator David Pocock

ACT’s first Independent Senator, David’s ambition is engaging in a new kind of politics grounded in community, integrity and building a better future for us all.

Kate Chaney MP

WA’s first female Independent Federal Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives, Kate is proud to represent the community of Curtin.

Michael Moore

Michael is a former member of the ACT Legislative Assembly and became an independent minister for health in the ACT government.

Thomas Emerson

Thomas is an adviser in Senator David Pocock's office and is willing to run as a candidate under the Independents for Canberra banner.

At this point, the discussion will open to input from the floor.

Clare Carnell

Clare is co-founding Independents for Canberra and will close proceedings by laying out next steps and explaining how you can get involved.

If you're ready for change and want to see ACT politics done better, come along and join the discussion. Please also extend an invitation to anyone else you know who might be interested.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.

We’d appreciate RSVPs below. And feel free to contact us with questions or suggestions by emailing [email protected].
