We've started working up a shared vision for the future based on the conversations we've been having with Territorians about the issues you're most concerned about and what you want for Canberra.
This is an evolving document that also speaks to why 'Independents for Canberra' has come into existence and why so many people across the ACT feel that it is time for change.
You can explore the three key pillars of the vision on our website here.
Here's a sneak peek:
Feedback welcome, as always!
Community Meetings in Belco & Tuggers
The Community Meetings we've been hosting every week or two have been such a great opportunity to connect with people from different parts of our city. They're also helping us develop a sense of some of the key policy priorities in each electorate.
We're headed to Belconnen this Sunday 7 April, meeting at the Belconnen Library at 4pm. You can find details and RSVP here.
Then we'll be in Tuggeranong on Sunday 14 April for our Brindabella Community Meeting (venue TBC), which can be found on our website here.
If you're keen to meet the team and share your views on what you want independents focusing in the lead-up to the October election and beyond, please join us for one of these meetings when we come to your neck of the woods.
And if you know of anyone who's curious about the movement but hasn't yet made it to one of our events, please pass this email onto them.
Volunteering
This Saturday 6 April we are hosting our first official volunteer gathering. If you have already volunteered to help through our website, you should have received an invitation to the event earlier today.
If you didn't receive that invitation and are keen to find out how you can get involved, please flick an email over to [email protected] asking about Saturday's catch-up. Leigh will let you know all the details.
For more regular updates, remember to follow along @INDforCBR on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Hope to see you soon,
Tom & the team
