In case you missed it, our first Community Meeting is taking place tomorrow (Sun 25 Feb) at the ANU North Oval Pavilion from 4pm to 5.30pm. This event is intended primarily for people who live in Kurrajong.
The purpose of our Community Meetings is to hear directly from people within specific electorates about your views on what needs to be done differently in your neighbourhood, what you'd like to see changed (or kept the same!) and what your top priorities are for the ACT more generally.
The electorate of Kurrajong includes Acton, Ainslie, Barton, Braddon, Campbell, Civic, Dickson, Downer, Forrest, Griffith, Hackett, Kingston, Lyneham, Narrabundah, O’Connor, Red Hill, Reid, Turner, Watson, and the entirety of the Jerrabomberra, Kowen and Majura districts including the suburbs of Beard, Hume, Oaks Estate, Pialligo and Symonston.
This is an open listening session and we ask that everyone's views be treated with respect. We will focus on ensuring that anyone who wishes to be heard has an opportunity to speak.
You can find more details and, if you haven't already, you can RSVP here.
Thank you very much to those who have already RSVPed!
The venue was booked on short notice and, unfortunately is accessible only by stairs. We will endeavour to ensure all future events are fully wheelchair accessible.
We also now have dates pencilled in for our first Murrumbidgee (Mar 17) and Yerrabi (Mar 24) Community Meetings. Details for the Murrumbidgee event can be found here with Yerrabi details to come.
